I’ve realized ONE very important thing
After 7 years of being obsessed with freedom and building a multiple six-figure business around it, I’ve realised I don’t truly understand what freedom means.
That’s why in 2017 I’m going on a Quest for Freedom to rediscover what it is all about, and what freedom really means to me, and to you.
In fact from April I’m taking a business sabbatical, and seeing if my business can survive without me, by putting to work everything I’ve learned, applied and coached my clients and community of Freedomists on, over the years.
My small but talented team and the systems and plans we’ve put in place over the The Suitcase Entrepreneur, will allow me to essentially fire myself from my business in April.
That’s when I’m going to become a student again and learn about freedom in all its fascinating facets.

So what is exactly is this Quest for Freedom Year?
Well that’s a great question. I’ve been thinking about this a LOT.
Ever since September 2016, after a shitty launch online, too much travel, speaking in 2 continents and realizing that I’d lost my business mojo, and this bright spark of an idea bounced into my head.
Here’s what it’s about for me, from my Evernote file I’ve been keeping and editing after conversations I’ve had along the way:
- Simple rules
Must be fun
Shouldn’t be taxing
Hell yes decisions
Overall Quests will likely encompass the following
(but since it’s a quest anything can happen):

I have been listening to Natalie’s podcast for a long time. I stumbled across it when I was first getting started and consuming everything I could to help me on my entrepreneurial journey! I remember her describing the concept of freedom and it just clicked for me: “that’s what I’m after!” Her episodes have been motivating, practical, enlightening and inspirational! I can’t wait to join her on this new quest!
