Have you ever scrolled through, Facebook, Twitter or Instagram to see a friend or peer doing awesome things? Except, instead of feeling happy for them, you feel instantly envious or depressed? It happens to all of us, unfortunately, and it all has to do with this little thing called The Comparison Game.
Scrolling the Instagram feed has the ability to make me feel like I’m not enough, in an instant. So much so that I’ve stopped enjoying this app like I used to.
I value it as a connection and business tool, but I’m tired of seeing the perfectly curated photos that only show one side of that person’s life – the one that makes you feel like you’re inadequate and your life is dull or even sucks.
YOUR aim in life should be to be the very best version of yourself, by focusing on what you do best and love to do.
So why do we all consistently compare ourselves against others?
Why do we look at people who are 3, 5 or even 10 years ahead of us in business and in life and get completely dejected that ‘we’re not there yet’ or that we pale in comparison.
This destructive habit has to stop!
You can’t even begin to know what’s behind their journey, what it took for them to get to where they are now. But you can learn from them, and emulate the great things they do, so long as you don’t try to measure up against them.
Remember, there is always someone doing better than us in something but instead of comparing yourself, concentrate on where you’re at and what you’ve achieved.
In this video, I share:
Five ways to stop comparison game for good
Difference between competition and comparison
How to replace negative thoughts to positive thoughts

Hiring a virtual assistant is one of the best investments you can make for your business to save you time and money.
But have you ever thought about making that same investment in your own life with a personal assistant?
Personal assistants are not just for the rich and famous. Imagine freeing up hours to work on your business or spend time with your family instead of taking care of personal tasks that you don’t enjoy doing?
A personal assistant can handle a lot of responsibilities that you can delegate to them. Hiring one will make a big difference in your life.
In this vlog, I share the reasons why a personal assistant is an absolute must for any entrepreneur, what tasks you can delegate and how much time a PA is going to save you!
Fin is a new kind of assistant – using AI (artificial intelligence), always on and ready to help.
Upwork, formerly Elance-oDesk, is a global freelancing platform where businesses and independent professionals connect and collaborate remotely.
Setting yourself up for success and happiness doesn’t just start with a fantastic morning routine. You need to work on creating a powerful evening routine too!
Why? Well technology has made staying connected to those we care about easier than ever before, as well as being able to work 24/7, which in many ways is amazing.
The flip side of this is it keeps us permanently connected and chained to our devices, responsibilities and work, making it harder to wind down in the evenings in a way that enables us to perform at our best.
In this vlog I show you how you can reclaim your evenings and strategically disconnect from work so that your evening allows you to relax and recharge and prime you for peak performance the next day.
Money. We all want more of it, but do we want it for the wrong reasons? Does money really bring you happiness?
Security, stability and the ability to get yourself of a crisis or look after your health are all great reasons to want to have sufficient funds in your bank account.
Yet research has shown that once you’re making around $70,000 a year, anything over and beyond that won’t bring you more happiness.
Money can certainly help you reduce stress but it doesn’t guarantee fulfillment.
Over the last eight years of running my business, I’ve noticed that when I’ve had just a little bit more money than I really need, I often felt at my happiest.
Despite the fact that I still wasn’t earning a lot, I was earning enough. Enough to buy my friend a drink or dinner, to get a gift for my family and to treat myself to an experience that felt special, but not frivolous.
And because I was living out of a suitcase for close to seven years I never felt the need to buy things, just experiences. So instead I saved my hard earned revenue.
Now that I feel financially free, I’ve put my money towards investing my own growth, in my business (mainly through new team members), property and more recently in others’ companies as an investor and advisor.
I still feel most happy when I have money to give and to spend on others, but not enough money to feel totally comfortable and as if I could afford everything. That would make life rather dull in my opinion!
In this episode I share:
How to get out of bad spending habits
The things that will actually make you most happy
Why minimalism can increase your financial freedom and happiness
